COREIS is an Italian no-profit organization with more than 20 years experience of cooperation with main local Islamic institutions, local authorities and other religious communities. COREIS’ action has always been focused on the promotion of inter-faiths dialogue, according to the orthodoxy of the Quranic teachings. Since 1998, COREIS is committed with the Italian Commission for Intercultural Education of the Ministry of Education, addressing its educational activities and knowledge to social cohesive actions like peace education, conflict prevention, fight against extreme ideologies (racism, antisemitism, Islamophobia) and promotion of important values like active citizenship, integration and tolerance. As part of the TandEM project COREIS, in collaboration with the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and the Federation of Islamic World Universities (FUIW), will organize a number of seminars in 9 universities: 6 inter-religious dialogues in Italy and 3 in Malta, Spain and Croatia. With the support of academic and religious representatives of different faiths, the aim is to encourage reflection, comparison, and understanding between national and foreign students who share different cultural and religious backgrounds.
