Recently COREIS has invited some students of the TandEM mentorship scheme, to discuss some organizational aspects related to the first inter-religious dialogue scheduled for next December 12th. The meeting was held at COREIS premises in Milan, and saw also the participation of young representatives of different professions (UGEI, COREIS AND FUCI). Technical aspects, objectives, timing and topics of the seminars, were among the main points addressed, also on the basis of an introductory meeting held in Como at the University of Insubria last 17th October. The meeting at Insubria was particularly important to better outline the issues that will be explored during the dialogues, thanks to the administration of a questionnaire to the students. The participation of young people has had a fundamental value: not only because their input will be useful for the organization of the seminars, but mostly because it represented a very important moment of exchange and intercultural dialogue. The group shared ideas, experiences and particularities related to their different origins and confessions, proving once again that dialogue and understanding surpass any apparent diversity.
“It was a formative and interesting day, which allowed us to better understand seminars’ organization, and it was very nice to meet other young people, creating networks and exchanging ideas and opinions.”
